Saturday, October 24

Zach Beeson Trio

Bassist, Zach Beeson, grew up playing jazz gigs with his trumpet-playing dad in Columbia, MO. As a Mid-Missouri teenager, Zach discovered eager, like-minded, talented jazz nerds in Hannibal & Jefferson City. As the young dudes joined forces, Andrew Ouellette, Brian Steever, and Zach played on steamboats, inside Mark Twain museums, at lake houses, and inside sushi Jazz clubs around a 200 mile radius. As fate would have it, these three amigos ended up at the UMKC Jazz Waterhole together like a glorious prison of fun memories!

Saturday, October 31

4:30-7:00 p.m.

Rewound

Pop and contemporary music re-imagined featuring Carmen Dieker violin, Alyssa Bell viola, and Ezgi Karakus cello.

Rewound started creating music together in 2017 with regular shows at a local record store. Since then we have collaborated with Claire Adams, Asher the Smasher O’Connor, and many other local musicians. It is our hope to grow our skill-set as an ensemble and continue to offer fresh and reimagined performances.

Jackie Meyers

Austin’s Jackie Myers may have the Midas touch for groove, conjuring up musical styles ranging from soul, jazz and modern R&B each time the talented pianist places her hands on the keys. Daytrotter’s Pat Stolley says of Jackie’s music “It reminds me of Joni Mitchell’s jazz period.” The finesse on her chosen instrument plays complement to what the Austin Chronicle describes as “her earthy lungs” – beautiful, captivating, complex, and always with an edge.
